blackhawk problems help me

ok its bhd that i am having prob with i cant fig out how to get blackhawks to land i can set them up to follow the way points and thats it i looked at tutorials and the one i saw just told how to get them to fly around not how to land any other help full links or any thing like that?????

Hi
How about:

set the z value of the waypoint you want it to land at to 0
and set the velocity to 0 when it reaches that waypoint

NOTE: you may need to trigger the reduction in velocity before the waypoint to allow the space for the chopper to slow down and avoid overshootong the lz - eithe use an area trigger or put another waypoint in before the lz. you may have to move this about to get it just right

surely if the waypoints are numbered correctly the Helo will land automatically when it runs out of waypoints to follow? thats how it works in DF2 lw and tfd

I hope your waypoint does not loop! because it starts on the first, flys to the 2nd, 3dr, etc. so if it loops, it will fly around for hours!
if you velocity is still on 0 it will take up and does not move! I set mine to 35 and it works out fine. I also maked sure that my Black Hawk an it's waypoint are in the same group!
and added the waypointgroup (waypoint blackhawk in my case) to the properties of the blackhawk!

I'll now be able to fly to my first waypoint, eliminate the bastards, wait for the blackhawk and fly to a new group of enemies! I love being transported instead of walking!

tanks guys you been a big help..lol no i am having problem with boats i set them on a way point and they go way off course and how do i slow them downand have them stop do i do it the same way i do the blackhawks??

boat you may have done copy & past one of the point doing this some time they get mix-up crossing each other, double check the way point line's see if one of them are out of line.

i done this thinking i make a shortcut to adding in a new way point for the tanks and all the way points got all mix-up a good way to fix it is to reline the way point the way you like them to be.

boats go off course when u make them go too fast. but essentially the principe is exactly the same for all moving vehicles

hey i have the same trouble i did the z value of the waypoint at 0 but volocity on what and where on the edit tributes box?

Give this a try, it's a work in progress and not perfect but it works, Don't forget to raise the blackhawk to ground level with the wire frame, it's z values are up the s--t. Also, don't make z values of waypoints to low, z values also up the s--t, or your blackhawk will skim on the ground. There is a text file, mis, bms and til file in the zip. Hope you find it useful.

THX....my bh landed, but.......for takeoff after landed?? what i must do????? i try to reset previus event (use wp Z & educe speed), but nothing...BH don't take off!
I tryed to increse speed and give 40 on next WP Z.....nothing.....how i can takeoff again after landed????
