Phpbb

Anyone ever backed up a PHPBB forum and then re-instated the db? Mine keeps timing out (5mb file). Any suggestions?

if your using phpmyadmin you will probably have to break it up into smaller chunks. Select a few tables at a time, maybe upto 1 or 2mb.. depends on your host.

If you have root access to the server from a command prompt run:

mysqld -u [user] -p[pass] database < backup.sql

the spaces between -u [user] and -p[pass] is not a typo fyi..
