eek BHD Installation problem?

I have had to uninstall my BHD game for certain reasons and now that I've come to reinstall it I'm getting the following message:

"The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose close to terminate the application."

Does anyone have any idea why this has happened and what if anything I can do about it?

Thx a very confused
Baddog

Might try clearing "everything". Meaning entries in registry too. Then do a fresh reinstall. Worked for me.

That means your autoexec file is screwed up.

The best fix is here...you just have to run a bat file

You have to have a restore cd or XP cd.

I'll put my autoexec and other files on there and see what they do.

follow that

You can also copy the good files directly from the site if you don't have an XP or restore cd.

XP has Restore option under Acccesories - > Systems. Use that. Worked for me on more than one occasion.

I also may be linked to SP2 if you installed that recently...

You can uninstall it through add/remove programs.
