Punkbuster Help

Hey all,

Just got my gaming rig together (pictures to follow later) and I am having a problem with Punkbuster updating properly in my Joint Ops game. I was playing on a laptop for over a year without a problem. I took my Joint Ops CD and installed it on the gaming rig and I can get into our server and play for about 2 minutes before I get kicked by Punkbuster. I have been to their website and tried manually updating. No luck. The funny thing is another guy on my squad is having the exact same problem. Any advice????????

u on the admin account on ur comp? they said other accoutns might have probs connecting, if not.. reinstall ?

to clear it up he saying you need to be admin on yoiu computer system for the update to work right, it the way PunkBuster work (setting are). change the user name (log-in name under user name) to adminstation should work then.

Start>Control panel> User account> open it update the user name settings to Admin for PunkBuster to work right.

LS efno - I am the admin on my computer. I have re-installed JO & Punkbuster three times. Still no luck.

Cheif - Again I am the admin on my computer, actually it is a brand new computer so I am the only user on it.

Another thing I found out last night is that I only get kicked from our server (Born to Kill.) I jumped into another server (Mosquito Coast) and had no problems. This leads me to believe that something with the Punkbuster on our server is causing this.

Again, any help would be appreciated.

I posted this news article yesturday m8, Give it a try Nova is aware of the problem and are working to fix it hence the delay in the new patch.

I think I tried that too Sal UK, but will give it another try. I also am in contact with Punkbuster themselves to see if they can help too.

Ok, all fixed. Here was the problem. Apparently during a new install, punkbuster will not update properly. I don't know if the link Sal UK gave fixes it or not, but we have a download available on our website www.btksquad.com that will fix it. Once on the site, go to downloads in the upper right corner, then squad tools, punkbuster folder.
