Anybody ever faced problems with steam games?

Recently I downloaded 2 f2p games, Heroes and Generals and Dizzel. Out of these two, Dizzel just doesn't work. Half of the time it doesn't connect to the server, and when it does, it won't open either tutorial or the online matchmaking system, since it shows some Release Assertion error and crashes. I searched about this and couldn't find anything. Is there any chance that the download was corrupt(it does open till the menu) or are these early access games a bit risky because of stuff like this.

Never mind. I found the solution. Yes, the download was bad, even though it showed 100% complete, when I right clicked the game in the library, went into properties, and clicked on the 'check integrity of game cache', it showed 208 MB of data missing, which was again downloaded and now it is thankfully working.

Maybe you have auto update turned OFF in your steam download/update settings?
