ok need some advice.

im doing this assesment on 'Incorperate a Digital Image' anyways im working with photoshop elements. i have to do 2 things

1. Create an image with a single layer.
2. Create an image with multiple layers (easy as piss)

ok, the main argument we have been having in class is about the 'Single Layer'.

I say that the single layer is like a flatten image?

what would u guys say?

i would say same, or they could mean you cant do multiple layers, you just have to work with the one layer...

If you aren't doing this in class, make an image and merge the layers. If you are working on it during class, dunno what to tell ya.

That's what I was thinking...

Why use one layer though? Layers are the anti-screwup of the picture editing world. Don't like that background or brush? Kill the layer and start over. I've been messing around with abstract stuff, and there's no way I'd have gotten even 5 minutes into it without multiple layers.

Using just one layer is, well, a scary thought

EDIT: If you can't flatten the layers, then I guess there's only one thing to do: break out your lasso, eraser, and smudger and get ready for a hand cramp

flatten the image and it will be one layer, if u can do it without the teacher knowing theres no way he can say its not

single layer and flattened layers are both one layer so the answer to your question would be yes
