yeah isnt that a wall hack in joint ops? har har.

Honestly though I have never seen them. Only thing I can think is they are either digital kind alike a heat sensor, or they pic up certain pigments in skin

IR detection would work how u described the vegetation being dark and a person/animal showing as a different colour. i'd guess u can get that stuff for goggles and scopes but not just normal glasses :/ hmm interesting stuff,.

they did develop visual motion sensing equipment, my guess is that they could export that to what ever platform they wish

i would almost guarantee that stuff wont be available to the public for a good long while

sure you can get night vision and infrared, but everyone's got those.

Motion detection suits I don't believe will be available in the next decade, and when they are they will be way pricey.

i totally missed what you Mauser were initially saying, so sorry bout that.

you were talking about infrared right? thats available all over the place.

well it is a filter, it shows diffrences in color, green would show up darker and ya skin would show up bright.

there is something simular that is called stess detection for looking for bad spots in ya grass, but these were designed for seing people.

here is the link to te stress detection glasses for planters.
http://www.turf-tec.com/TSDG-Lit.html

they will work with plants but the ones im talking about works on the difrential of the wavelength of ligt that is absorbed by people and plants amd synthetic fabrics.
