I had the DF2 demo once, it gave me the option to go to 1200x1024, it just crashed.

(this program is not compatible with IP4LW/IP4DF2's join function. In order to use both DFOptiRun and IP4LW/IP4DF2, here's how you do it:
- run DFOPtiRun
- run IP4LW/IP4DF2
- use and select your servers as usual with IP4LW/IP4DF2 and click the CreateStartup.htm
button in IP4LW/IP4DF2's lefthandcorner. You are now set to go.
- close IP4LW/IP4DF2
- use DFOptiRun to set your parameters as wished and click the startbutton)

The reason why you get incredible amounts of lag having it on those resolutions is because your DF2 is probably running on software mode. If I run mine on hardware, the graphics are all incorrect and weird. DF2 only accepts ancient 3D graphics cards, which suck, because there's a lot of old games like Half-Life, which could probably support nowaday's graphics cards...

Press "V" while you're in DF2 and cycle through the resolutions and you'll see dramatic performance changes...
