ok I just found a four proged cable going from my power supply to my motherboard. well it had a bad connection and the end of the plug in is pretty much fried black.

ok I pinched the prongs closer on that plug. then the lights on the PC showed that the memory was configured wrong (my bad ) so I reconfigured them in their correct positions and the PC started up just fine. so it might.

this would explain why pulling the memory cards in and out swithing them to my other PC's would cause the prob. cuz that cord is right next to the memory chips and I probbly bumped the cord a few times and pushed the prongs apart.....

yeah so far it's running like a champ. just played a few rounds of BF2 just to test it and it works fine. before I woulnd't have been able to get thru one round without it crashing.

I really couldn't have done it without the light mapping manual that steve gave me. thanks a million Steve!

nah didn't think so, we'll see it as sk taking a rest from mapping,....then?

No it's working fine now. I think that was the whole problem. just had to fix that plug in.

and Yes I'm still working on some maps. sry it's taking so long guys. I've had these PC problems and been busy around the house.
