If there was no great changes between BF2 & BF3 then I just have to pass on it.
Ahh I must say that I loved the Jet controls and the helicopter controls in BF2... It's very realistic and much more interesting than that of, let's say, nova's controls where you just push a button to go up side to side...etc... *YAWN* BOOORING. Not to mention you can do much more with BF2 controls that you can in Nova's set-up.

I've also got to admit that BF2's gameplay lasted much longer than any other game I know of. It's non linear gameplay made it really easy to come back to for a good experience. It was more like an actualy game/match then anything else. Kinda like a paintball match, just with bigger guns and such.

I never did figure out the jet controls (and chopper controls). I was always over steering and could never line the targets up. I would end up getting frustrated with it.

The tanks were easier to control/fire however.

Yep, I still crash and burn from great heights in BF2, I guess I'm still just a Grunt (Infantry) Ground Hog

Haha. Stompem, I like the multiplayer, but the SP absolutely sucks! What were they thinking?

Without spoiling anything, you have no freedom to move. There's obnoxious quick time events at every turn, and it's more like an interactive movie than a game.

I really like the multi-player, but the single player, despite it's amazing graphics, was terrible. I do miss the DF style of play quite a bit, though. I miss making maps even more.

Hey Dashie,

I'm asuming that you're giving your reviews on BF3.

Is BF3 worth the money? Is it better than BF2?

Lol, if you like Delta Force style of play better than BF3 ... then that means BF3 must really Suck.

Yes SP was short and crap, multiplayer is real cool and makes a welcome change from the old quake style of playing in Cod black ops(Explanation of this Running around like headless chickens and shooting at anything that moves gameplay)

BF3 is more tactical so will not suit the headless chickens amonst you. cant say on pc but PS3 heli's and jets are easy once you get with the controls.

If your dieing too easy your getting spotted just try hardcore the way its meant to be played...

Sal.

Besides having to wait for Internet IP recharge to try it (BF3)again.

Maybe the game is too hardcore for my system?

I will shortly be upgrading my Hardware (needed anyway) to remove any obstruction to game play.

Hardcore mode sounds like you don,t get all the icons, that would be good.

Will try overclocking in the mean time...

Yes stomp you can still spot people but it doesnt put a marker on you so everyone knows where you are, it is easier to die as it takes less shots to kill.

I always play hardcore on Cod also I find it more enjoyable than normal play but on bf3 the most things that will give you away in Hardcore is your scope glare, laser sights ect but I like Iron Sights for that reason even less to give your position away..lol

some dont like the waiting game or what is called camping Though many dont get what defence is all about when defending you wait for the attackers to come to you I guess I get that from my old DF2 days at gaming...lol

Trying to imitate real life on the screen...

Games have to bring things within reach.

Frostbite2 graphics have improved the players sight out to great distances but not enough if the camper is in cover and you are spawning on the docks with a mile of water between you and the sniper. you just cannot have the same senses working on a screen no matter how good the graphics and sound.

Tonight there was a camper/sniper behind my team spawn area (BF3 TDM)

So the sniper had us pinned down and besides which we really needed to go the opposite way...

Soon the spawn point hogger types will have all the maps worked out and that will be the end of it.

Games like BF3 need a multiplayer editor.

To which DICE has said "frostbite 2 is too complex for the community"
