think of getting DSL in late Jan/2006

i like to know if there is a good DSL service without all the junk to it or lies it limited service b/s

don't what to get into something and find it is limited later on.

i know there are a lot of gamers who have DSL out there so speak-up let be counted for.

name some that are really good and bad ones.

was think of AT&T DSL but i was thinking what if it is limited.

i live in USA-Florida northern parts Zip-code 32025

tell me your service is good and what ones are bad should stay away from. save me the headaches later down the road get into.

I'm using sbcglobal, which from what I hear is all part of at&t.

I run a 22 player server with no problems unless we get a dial up member or 2..

my last speed check put me at 407kb up, over 1.5 mb down.

It has run perfectly, never broken down (or if it did it was something at my end).

AT&T Pro DLS here 3 Mbs for $29.99 with year contract

AT&T Premium DSL for 6 Mbs for $34.99 with 1 year contract also available.

Will need to get minimum of phone line for 9.99 with nothing on it.

i used to have verizon DSL for a while, and don't get me wrong it beat the **** out of dial up, but it's not really worth it .. cabel is so much faster and not that much more a month, unless you don't have a cable line or something

my main objection to cable is that you share it with your neighbers. So, if every one gets on at the same time, your bandwidth gets cut down. I have heard of people with cable having a connection speed worse then a dial-up user.

DSL on the other hand is a straight connection to the phone company.

Just curious though, How many people actually download at the speeds your supposed to be able to download at?

I mean, you can only download as fast as the server can upload.

my download spead last I tested was a little over 2mb/sec.

yet for the most part I only download at about .5mb (unless I'm downloading from the realplayer guys, then I download about 2mb/s)....
