Well, there is 2 units of measurements - Kilobytes per/second (Kbs) and Kilobites per/second (KBs)

So 960.1 kbs (kilobites per/second) is only 115 Kilobytes (KBs).

So, is that unit in Kilobites per second, or kilobytes per second

ok i found what it was doing.
it was showing the port speed rather than the connection speed, would have been nice if it was the connection speed.

lmao

will the real upload and download port speed is not the real thing when it come to the pipe line internet dial-up goes, nice try anyways.

as i know it some download can be avg 5kb-6kb, upload is like 2kb.

good old days i had my 56k going at 52.0 that was sweet then it gone bad, good old redowl, thats the most i ever seen.

im lucky to see 2k download rate on this crappy connection.
me and bellsouth have been going round and around, ive done told them if they dont get their head out of their ass and fix the thing im going to a diffrent ISP.
then they get snotty and say, well if speed is important then i should get DSL, then i go to the DSL page and it aint avalable where i am.
then i tell them on the next email that it aint avalable where i am.

then they say something like we are sorry for the inconveniance and since the problem is of a technical nature your entire e-mail has been forwarded to the tech department, we will try to get this issue solved as soon as possable.
then 1, 2, 3, 4 months later it is still the same, and gets 100bps slower than the last time.

evrytime ya tell these bozos at bellsouth that ya have a problem ya connection getsa slower, the 1st time i complained to them i was connecting at 29-30k now after 5 e-mails i am now at 18k to 23k.

when i get some money saved up im splurging for cable and telling them to go F$%^$ themselves.
