On Screen Scoring?

Ok I have a tough one for you smart programing people out there. I want to start hosting Tourny's I would like to make the game so when you are shot you would loose a point on the screen where everyones player name and points are. I'm not interested in the experiance points. I would just like to change the scoring that is on the game screen. I owe ya big if anyone can help me out. Thanks for your time.

I think it does has to do with programming. How else could you make a third party program?

but i'm not sure if this is a good idea
if you're working on the kill count of each player, it's just a tiny step to modify it a bit more than needed...
if such a hack (and thats what it is) spreads, there will always be people who abuse it....

I'm not trying to abuse any thing. I don't consider it a hack or a anything like that. I just want it in my games that I host . I think it would make you allot more apt to hide if you lost a point every-time you died. It would stop people from just running around and not caring how many times they died, just so they could get the top score. I played it this way in a tournament and boy was it some great game play. Any way I know there has to be a way to make this happen.

I tend to agree with Nev's comments on this, it is a hack and people will abuse it. You will always have players who run around and don't care how many times they die, but surely that's what this game is all about? If you want a low death rate have a go at sniping that requires more stealth as you try to keep a low profile and not make yourself an easy targer whislt knocking other players off lol!
