You have to join servers with the same expansion or mod running.
I only know about the TS expansion so you'll probably have to remove the other one whatever it is because it's probably causing a conflict.
You'll need the same Mod installed to join servers running mods.
Check the server display before you join, it should tell you if it's TS or a mod.
