It isnt XP due to i have one and played it on it fine.Make sure you have latest patches for game like Scattergun said.Also make sure you have latest Direct X and Latest Computer Updates especially your latest video card updates.Cause from what i see your saying, it looks like a video card problem.That makes me ask what video card do you have by the way?
