Why won’t my stinger missiles fire?

Answer:
Stinger missiles are designed only to shoot down aircraft and require a target lock before they can fire. To get a target lock, right click the mouse to activate the sighted view of the weapon and aim at an aircraft. You will hear a beeping sound if the helicopter is in range to indicate that you can fire the stinger. There is a brief reloading period before another stinger can be fired.
