here is the deal on the use of the pinger,it will only work correctly for non affiliated nova servers.so depending on who you rent your server from is what really matters .all nova affiliated servers will require log in to get into their servers,but there are plenty of servers that still work with the updated pinger,and nova is trying to stop that.So check with your server provider .and if you need a provider that does still work go to my friends at
