GIMP Has the color to alpha. I used to use photoshop, but switched to GIMP because I actually began to find it more useful. Still blows my mind that GIMP is a free, open source program that can do pretty much anything that photoshop can.

The sights look great! I'm assuming you layered a 'blend' layer over top of the 'add' layer?
