Escalation is well worth getting if you have people to actually play with BD.
If you are still jumping into servers and just trying your best to anonymously join a team on a big public server I imagine you will be as disillusioned as you were with JO.
I never ever play JO unless I have at least one other person on Teamspeak to play alongside.
