CSS and XHTML works the best, however clean html can work as well too. I think it just depends on what you are more fluent in. They both have different advantages. CSS and XHTML can work better w/ cell phones and
can load faster. It is also better for making the web more accesible. Clean HTML on the other hand is more known, and can save lots of time (in my case) coding. I'm faster coding HTML than I am coding CSS and XHTML strict. But really it's whatever you choose works best for you. (haha i always like to get into this little argue ment of which is better. I personaly can't say which I like more).
