AFAIK, Novalogic used certain tools to compress WAV (sound files) and DDS (texture files) to save a bit of space on it's PFF files. Compressed Nova files have a header of 'BFC', you can decompress these files with the BFCExtractor tool. You can find this tool here: http://www.novahq.net/?show=utilitie...ew_files&id=32

Free sound file editor (Audacity) says, "bad header".
The dds files in DFX2 seem to be outmoded by another format or linked file/data source in the .PFF....
......Will try the BFC extractor
