This question is for any who has experience with 1 gig of ram.
In the system I build, I'll be using an AMD 2800+, and I'm trying to figure out whether or not to spend the extra dough for 1 gig or if 512 will be fine. What it really comes down to is, is the performance increase from 512 to 1 gig worth the extra $70?
It has been my experience that any upgrade in ram is like a big kick in the arse for a pc, but also that past 512 really doesn't do much (but this has been a while...new technologies and software have come out
).
