There are many books on this area of operations as well. I have been reading a ton of them as my duties will have me all over that valley.
War is a great book for those interested in what's happened the past few years. As is Where Men Win Glory, it goes all the way back to the political **** ups that left the Afganistan people unstable and ignorant to the fact that the American government aided their country in defeating the Russians.
