I would go for the PS3.

I happen to know you have little interest at the moment in playing games online.
I also know you have tiny almost baby-like hands.

Therefore the piss poor PS3 is ideal for you.

Online service that is FREE! (But clumsy, laggy and generally bad so you don't really have any fun playing on it)

Tiny Tiny controller that are only playable with hands like yours.
Rather than have designers look at the practical side of gaming control, Playstation have used that Sony utility they so often return to, arrogance.
Thinking their original design near perfect they have done nothing to bring fine control to the 21st century prefering to simply add a Wii style movement sensor into their 'classic' design.

Let's be clear. If you are interested in playing games - get a 360
If you are interested in owning a library of HD moives get a blu-ray player.

If PS3 is cheaper than the Blu Ray players that are available then get a Playstation but don't buy one thinking you are getting the best of all worlds.
Free service is not a better service. Besides that - the damn things ugly.

When I owned both it literally only ever got turned on to play whichever Pixar movie I wanted to watch on Blu Ray.
