Think I got it.

So I kept asking myself, "What's this stupid crate doing 24 and a half minutes after every boot up?" I hatched a describably clever plan: 23 minutes after reboot, open the Task Manager and let's see what happens at the next crash.

And what did I see at the crash in the Task Manager after sorting the programs decending by CPU usage? Entry number 2 was:

*drum roll* *cymbal crash*

Norton Security. (To be read with an f-word at the start, end, and in between.)

And what happened when I attempted to uninstall it? Crash.

Deactivated the Norton check boxes in the msconfig, rebooted, uninstalled, and we've been up and running for a good hour now.

I'll reinstall it tomorrow, let Windows Defender take overwatch for the night.

Have I ever mentioned that I hate this planet sometimes? Do you ever root for the asteroid? Wish Ford Prefect was your friend and the Vogons were coming? Strangelet showers?

Norton was crashing my system, and they want to edit genes with CRISPR. I can't help thinking we should maybe not start hacking the most complicated operating system ever written in four billion years before we get Windows working, you know?

I better end this before I start talking crazy, yeah?
