I was reading on
CNET news.com about people throwing away there whole computers (Monitors + everything) because there computers had become infected with spyware LoL. Although most of these people have money to blow, all you have to do is insert the windows disk and upon setup tell windows to format the drive first. Thought it was kinda funny.
Let me break it down:
New computer ($400+++)
OR
An extra hard drive (requires installation but it's pretty damn simple, if you can't figure it out then throw the pc away)
Copy of windows.

Use main hard drive for windows + programs that are installed.
Use extra hard drive for files you are never going to delete, pictures, music, keep safe junk.
volla, there you have it. You can have a new computer every month if you do it that way + keep all your stuff. I format at least once every 3-4 months and I don't even get spyware or viruses. Just like a nice new clean computer.
