i used to play 56k dial up... still do actually, when i'm at my parent's house.
yup... u'll get to play a decent game but dont expect your pings gonna go lower than 300. On average i'd play within 300 - 700 pings. If u get more than 800... than... getoutta there.
U'd be lucky to get to play in a big server (40 players) but try to play in a server that has not more than 32 players. I used to play in Normandy*PR server quite often that's always full to 40 players... but i could still kick a$$ without too much trouble.
there are also 56k connection friendly server around... but i cant remember which one...try ask around, some would help u out but some will tease u b'coz of it. Who cares!!!
56k can still rock dude!!! but don't dare to play bf1942 with it.... it would drive u nuts!
