i just installed it through default. are you using default "C" drive? no, dont overwrite that bin file.
i do remember needing to restart to get all the expansion and mod stuff to show. look to see if you have these terrains in the general information box:
dvx=jo
gXX and iXX=jo:e
then most of the rest are ic mod
