Yep and its a slight difference with a mechanical disc break as hydraulic press from two sides while mechanical often press from one side against a stationary side (although there are mechanical with two moving sides) so there usually always is some "rubbing".

In my opinion mechanical disc breaks usually have a better precision then hydraulic, while many disagree stating that hydraulic are more precise but from my experience from both I would definitely say that mechanical disc breaks have the upper hand on feel and precision
