i'm the size that i am from working outside all the god damn time.

it's called country strong. i actually know how to use my strength, in other ways than making the same repetitious movements over and over again with weights that are easily gripped and handled.

yea some of my friends are pretty big .. they got there cute little cuts on their triceps looking good for the beach and all .. but all they do is weight lift, which i also did when i wrestled .. but they can't do **** with their strength. ask them to move a full sheet of plywood or lift some large heavy irregular shaped object and move it a few feet ... they can't do it, because all they've trained their muscles to do is make the same easily balanced movement over and over again.

which goes hand and hand with what spazz said about just starting out. benching for example .. when you first start out your balance is all screwed up and you waste alot of energy just keeping the bar level. about a week later, your technique gets better and miraculously your max went up 100 pounds or more.
