Today was the last day of the term - damn right!
Two weeks holidays = gay - unfortunately. Well, the best way to make the most of it is to enjoy it as much as you can, and wake up real early, and go to bed real late - hence a "longer" day, lol.
Yesterday was a kicker as well. We had some museum guys come to our school and told us about dinosaurs and stuff (not the 5yr old stuff - real interesting things, like how there were ancient rocks showing dinosaurs in the HUMAN era).
I was also one of the four to get a
geode as well. It's a rare kinda rock I guess - can't find it in New Zealand. It's probably also about 2000 years old or so. Gonna shine it up and not even dare cut it!
We also got to go gold panning (fool's gold, not real gold), but got to get some actual dinosaur teeth and stuff. Pretty cool lol. A lot of kids were thinking of putting this stuff on TradeMe (even though it'll probably be cheap). TradeMe is like eBay (NZ styles
).
And today, we got to watch a bit of
Black Sheep.
