I was gone to an encampment for the Civil Air Patrol, its like basic training only its not
. it lasted a week everyday we'd be getting up at 5:00 in the morning bye being waken by a bugle and a whistle blowing away in the hall, then having only 5 min to get into uniform and have 25 min to SOP our rooms (make it "perfect") and then going outside to get in formation and march to the parking lot where we would be picked up by busses to be taken to an air force installation to eat breakfast, waiting in line was a pain and it would take about another 20 min before reaching the front while standing in parade rest when stationary and coming to attention when moving or an officer walked by, finally getting our food then going to a table and stand at attention until the table is full. after that we'd go outside, get in formation and go do a special activity like....more marching, sometimes we'd go to a theatre where ppl would have presentations of benefits of bla bla bla or doing bla bla for some bla and stuff like that for hours. going to eat lunch (same as breakfast) going out and do more "special activitys" go eat dinner, more special activitys the taking the buses back to the campus where the barracks was and do PT and going back in and taking showers and go to sleep at 9. (repeats whole paragraph here)
every now and then we do something special like visit the airforce museum (we had to go if we wanted to keep the contract with the buses) and getting back to see our cadet comander pissed off at us for not SOPing our rooms (we had no SOP time that day) it was total BS.
one day our squadron was scheduled to take a ride on a KC-whatever but due to the weather it was cancelled and we couldnt go. but the next day another squadron got to (even more BS).
before the encampent ppl keep telling me its going to be so fun and stuff and that ill enjoy it a lot and its going to be fun and you'll get to do stuff and its fun and stuff like that... after wards... i thought it was total BS it sucked i had no fun what a waste they say it was almost the worst encampent they ever had, i just didnt like it
