will there three ways you can host JOTR.

1.) rent a server $$$$$$ as long as you pay them it be up 24/7 price per-player slot that is use for the server.

2.) host it offline LAN play.

3.) host it on-line using your computer
(not a good ID for dial-up users 28k or 56k)

i can't say if you have to log-in for LAN game play or not.

but all on-line play time must log-in to play the game there no by pass log-in

unlike DF: Serials there no mission game play for this game at all. for single players who wish to play the game offline in single mission.

Lan/online there is co-op missions to play with others team work is what this game is all about.
