will the LCD monitor i don't like them so it no big lost, my aunt she has one of them it not that great.

as for it doing: 16x/48x dvd-r-rw cd-r-rw (dual layer compatible)

DVD write at 4x speed for DVD-RW

better check that again i bit it do minnie disk and will other type disk too. many double lay DVD/CD writer do other type of CD/DVD. by the way let you know the DVD Double layers really cost more like a 3 set cost USD-20.00 thats adds up, but the DVD/RW are really sweet they hold 4.--GB of data. there no DVD-RW Double layer i wish it would mean 8gb of data.

i don't know any software you can use to day let you copy DVD right off the back don't think there any out there. you can make record home movies on DVD and other items too. this is sweet when you like to share movie clips with others. best have a lot of ram when making movies up or working on any editing

i would boost 512mb ram to at lease 1000mb of ram. dealing with DVDs if you like to make them up be sides making maps you have extra ram to use.
