Actually yes, you should and need to get it done. Without fusing the two bones together can lead to more and painful back problems. If I remember correctly, the reason they are slipping is because the fluid in the little sacs between your back bones has leaked out, causing deflation which intern allows the bones to move....or something like that. I know a disk is located in there somewhere lol.
It's been a few weeks since med class was out. :s
