It's optical, corded (I hate cordless), and has no extra crap (I hate extra). Plain and simple, left and right button with scroller. Scroller works great, and I've been using this mouse for about 4 years now, no problems. I have to clean the feet occasionally, but that's it. Best part is it's only $20.
