If you force normal people to turn in their guns, all you're doing is giving armed robbers, rapists, etc., more power, because now they'll be armed ... and the victims won't. Besides, any gun control law could easily be defeated in the supreme court if anyone actually trid to do it. Remember, "the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be INFRINGED upon". As in, you really can't even put up restrictions. Unless they change the constitution, that's not changing.
