Cold as Ice
Start a new document, Preferebly around 500x 500
1.Fill the bg with the paint bucket black.
2.Go to Filter>Render>Lens Flare, insert one near the top left of your image. Brightness 100%, 50-300mm Zoom
3.Now repeat step 3 but put it in top right.
4.Then again, but Centre BOTTOM.
5.And again, but in centre, set brightness to 35.
6.Now go to Filter>Sketch>Chrome, set the setting to Detail 10 - Smoothness 0
7.Duplicate the layer, set blend mode to Screen, merge down.
8.Duplicate the layer, Filter> Distort>Twirl, Angle=325
9.Now set the bland mode to lighten, go to polar co-ordinates, polar to rectangular.
10.No duplicate the duplicated layer, go to Edit>Transform>Flip Horizontally, make sure top 2 layers are on lighten, merge down, then merge down again.
11.You have a nice effect right there, but you can carry it on after that.
Duplicate the layer, go to Edit>Transform>Flip Vert. Then set mode to lighten, merge down.
12.Now repeat the last step again except use flip Horizontally.
13.Now Duplicate the layer again, and go to Edit> Transform>Rotate 90 C.
14.Set the blend mode to lighten, merge down.
15.Now you are done, All you need is colour, I changed the colour to light blue for a nice ice effect, I used, cntrl+u, then checked colorize, Hue 200, Saturation, 25, lightness-0
You are Done, Enjoy!.
Here is my final result.
And if you change the settings a little, you can get something different
I then decided to make a forum signature out of my tutorial.
