Homeland Security
I got this in an email. Thought I'd share it. I received it 2 days ago.
Subject: UPS uniforms BE ON ALERT Government regarding purchase of UPS uniforms: BE ALERT!!!! There has been a huge purchase, $32,000 worth, of United Parcel Service (UPS) uniforms on eBay over the last 30 days. This could represent a serious threat as bogus drivers can drop off anything to anyone with deadly consequences! If you have ANY questions when a UPS driver appears at your door, they should be able to furnish VALID I.D.. Additionally, if someone in a UPS uniform comes to make a drop off or pick up, make absolutely sure they are driving a UPS truck. UPS doesn't make deliveries or pickups in anything except a company vehicle. If you have a problem, IMMEDIATELY call your local law enforcement agency right away! TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY! Tell everyone in your office, family, friends, etc. Make people aware so that we can prepare and/or avoid terrorist attacks on our people! Thank you for your time in reviewing this and PLEASE send to EVERYONE on your list, even if they are friend or foe. We should all be aware! Kimberly Bush-Carr Management Program Specialist U.S. Department of Homeland Security Bureau Customs and Border Protection Washington, DC 20229 The only this is, what does a VALID UPS ID look like? Becareful, and if you cant be careful, BE ARMED!!! |
In other words, if they aren't in the big Brown truck, be extremely careful.
|
A very worrying development and lets hope every one is well aware of this!

I cant say if its true or not. But its always good to be safe. In posting this I didnt say to "do" anything but be safe. I'm not trying to add fear or pass on some new "urban legend". I would say... Question everything.:) |
Ok I found it.
Summary of the eRumor The eRumor says that $32,000 worth of UPS uniforms have been purchased on eBay and that they may be destined for use by bad guys who wants to use them to get into various facilities. The eRumor also includes an alleged warning for New Jersey that someone tried to get into a government building by posing as a UPS worker. The Truth A spokesman for UPS says there are no missing uniforms and that there was no such sale on eBay. He also denies the New Jersey story and we have not found any independent substantiation of the story. UPS says that UPS drivers are not impersonated very often but if you have a question about the authenticity of a UPS employee, call 1-800-PICK UPS. Source I'll do a search before I post next time. |
all should be on the look for fakers anyway.
UPS,Police,FBI and other always ask for ID and you can even call the police they will come by check him out for you also use No# 911 or your local Police dept. if that person will not stick around for the police say good bye to them or get lost. if they drive away try to get the lic-plate No# turn over to the police they will try to catch them and check them out better safe then sorry its your life. |
Be careful!
