Ingame pinger never works for me
 

Anyone else have this problem?
It just stays on "Calculating Ping Times 0%" forever and I always have to click cancel and view the servers without and ping times.

This is not a firewall issue either.

Also I get a coplete lock-up where I have to hard boot if I
A: sort by level twice(in order to display the stat servers.
B: leave a server and go back to server list.
C:click sort by Level
D:Click sort by level again and BOOM Im all locked up

Only way I've found to avoid this is to restart the game before attempting to rejoin a server

never heard of this, but it sure sounds like novalogic would be interested in it

ehh there just gonna say some bs about make sure you have the latest DX version or some **** anyway.I was hoping I wasnt alone on this one and that someone had a fix here.

ah ok Well Im on nice fast cable so thats not why. At least we know that so far.

Ok well I at least found a work around.At least I think it should cure the lock-ups.

Go into your root BHD folder and locate the file named ibgl.ini

Then make the following edit:

PINGMODE 0 <------------This is set to 1 by default
PINGMODEVERSION 2

GAMELISTMAX 10
GAMELISTMAXVERSION 2

PLAYERLISTMAX 10
PLAYERLISTMAXVERSION 2


this will basicly tell the game to not even try to ping servers at all.
Since in my case it never works anyway,what the hell...

Is there anyway 2 complately stop pings, like when u play the levels theres pings things then u get booted. Can u stop them?

only the server can stop the ping

Calculating ping times does take a long time but it always has calculated the pings for me. You just have to wait a few minutes. I know noone wants to wait that long but it's just how nova has it. Maybe they'll update it one day.

When the screen comes up with all the servers in red writing is CONFIG. click on that and will have calculate ping times...
See if that helps, you might have turned it off.
