you should be able to go to your volume control in Windows or the control panel that your sound card uses(if its a add in card) and you should be able to adjust the volume level on your Mic, (you may have to check in the advanced tab)

a pink punk 05-30-2003 04:31 PM

i turned it up all the way, but they still cant hear me.
i dont no if my sound card works with it, so that ment be it.
i have sent a letter to the makes and they told me to somestuff which i did but i dout it helped.

if anybody else can help, please do.

thanks. pINk oUT

make sure ur mic is plugged in the right spot - its not a stupid suggestion. it happens often and the spymptoms are quiet or no sound. try it

staffy bull 05-30-2003 04:52 PM

as stevie said it`s not a stupid suggestion,do you have extra sound card?if so that will have it`s own volume control aswell as the windows sound control.i had similar prob myself with sound card ended up having to disable onboard sound in my bios settings

most of the connections

mic connection are red or pink in color.

black:is for extra speakers 4ways (head set hookup to).

green: is system speaks.

that are the color i use with my system

a pink punk 05-31-2003 12:31 AM

that is really helpfull. i new about the red or pink then but i thot that the black was for the speakers, not the green ... know wonder its bin so hard to tell which way yhe fire is comeing from.

Hellfighter 05-31-2003 01:36 AM

green is for normal setup for comp
( my is a 3-way speaker setup).
the black is for extry speaker you may have like me i use the green for 3-speaks around my pc
black would be for 2-more speaker in back of the room or headset.

for surround sound use green for the speaks around the Pc.
for back speaks to the rear of the room, be black femal connection in the card. but they can all so can be use for head set a tech gateway Mfg told me that they can be use for headsets.its still stero sound left & right grean is for the bass booster sorry can't think of the name for the 3rd speak its booster it hookup to the green plug then leads out to right and left speaks.

red-mic
green normal setup for pc speaks
black-extra speaks for surround sound or headset

all so look under record contor
1.) click-on speak (near your desktop clock) double click it open "Volome contor"
2.) look up "Microphone" under it should see "Advanced"
3.) click-on it see a box look like this "1" next to it Mic 4.) Booster it should be checked if not put a check in it then 5.) now click-on "close" it this should boost your mic a bet better.

basic
last you need to look over that mic if its a headset type my has a volume contor for mic and sound (ear-speaks).mic should be turn all the way up turn it down only after checking with a buddie he will hear you talking and tell you if its too load need to turn it down or move it away from your mouth mic should be 6-8inch from your mouth they hear a clearier sound from you to away it sound weak to close air getting in the way they hear more blasting sound from the air blowing on it.

ok i thot that the vaolum control was for my head phones only, not the mic and the Hphones. all see if that fixs it.

once aging, thank you all for the help.:)

helper

1.What Type of comp brand name do you have
2.What type of the comp brand name do you have
E.x.: Dell 2500 or dell 8500 like that
3. If you have a compaq throw the computer away and get your money back.

a pink punk 06-04-2003 10:37 PM

1. i have win XP.
2. it was made by my uncle.
3. no i dont.

Gunshot 06-05-2003 02:15 PM

hmmmmmm

maybe you can ask your uncle what he put in the computer and ask him if puting the mic on the computer will work or not. cause he could of messed it up. see if your computer has a built in mic if you do then it will not work

a pink punk 06-05-2003 02:26 PM

i dont think my uncle messed up my computer - he was involvd in silacon vally right from the start - i dont think thee is a blut in mic. and i think i got it to work ther was a volum comtrol on my head set which comtrols how loud my headphones are, but it allso controls the recoding volum on my mic, which is reallt stued becus you have to trun the volum all the way up and when you do, you cant use the head phones.

so i think am going to get a dif one that is not a head set.

Gunshot 06-05-2003 09:15 PM

oh ok that's cool. cause I can't put a mic on my comp cause i [have] compaq it's like 4 years old but i updated it and cant work with a mic i think i might just throw it out my window..
