Need to run wi-fi internet on pc.

I just got wireless internet connection, but my pc does not has any feature to run internet through this wireless router. What kind of hardware would I need?

USB Network adapter is all you need. Different ratings (G/N for example) for different speeds and this depends on what the router is capable of, they usually always are backward compatable to older standards. Or if it's a newer motherbord they might have built in wireless capability.

Something like this: http://www.amazon.com/Edimax-EW-7811...1053625&sr=1-1 :)

Sorry guys, but i already bought a Netgear N150 Wireless USB Adapter. Nevertheless, what is a long cable? Is it something like a lan cable, connecting the router to the pc?

Well I guess the connection you have is Cable/DSL from the wall to the Router then Wi Fi to your PC and devices.

Usually a "Long wire" setup connects the PC directly to a Gigabit Ethernet WAN port usually on the back of the router.

The actual PC connection to the internet is not transmitted to air waves.

Generally the idea is to create a local area network to handle your home needs. This is a separate network to the one connecting you to your browser. The LAN shares through the Master PC or NAS. For top security Only do important things from the Master PC or Laptop. Don't stream documents to other PC's in the home by wireless, use a USB Stick or hard-wire several ports to a hub device.

You then use adapters and other nas type systems for direct streaming or backing up music and videos to your devices.
