Map help BHD!!

Ive made many maps with no problems now a have a new PC Lenovo with windows 7. When I make a map now (BHD) the map shows up in game but the files (mis. bms. til.) are not in my BHD main folder. When I search for them I can find them, seems to be in a hidden folder but my PC does not recognize the folders so I cant access them for zipping or emailing to anyone. Got any ideas? Thank you.

In explorer click these menues and options:

Tools -> Folderoptions (Have a swedish version so I'm guessing on the name) -> viewing -> Show hidden files, folders and units

Hope that helps a bit, hopefully someone can type what it actually says and not my crappy translation/guessing :)

Man, that's really reminisent of Windows Vista !

I had the same problems when I switched over to vista.
I can't remember exactly how I fixed it , but seems it had something to do with Privileges (or permissions) and file options like SilentTrigger*MFA* said.

Make sure the map name is XXX.bms not .bms (no name).
Also, update your game to 1.5 and check that you are running the right game.
Make sure the Windows you are running is Home Premium, or Ultimate.
Home Basic has alot of security tools that may block the game.
Try installing in another HD, or try in another computer.

I clicked show hidden folders same thing " Nothing in BHD main folder" I never had to name a map XXX.bms before and believe me I made a few huindred. Still PC does not recognize the .mis folder or the .bms...Looks like Im out of luck on this computer.

missing map files???

I have vista home premium sp2...
this OS has a default folder for files.
The folder is called "Virtual Store".
A hidden folder by default. A user must change the attributes.
eg: unhide this folder. Put a short cut to this folder on your desktop.
delta force/??? stores the actual game in this folder,
as well as any maps made and saved to delta force series.
Search for this folder, change its attributes and you find files
otherwise just loaded as shortcut icons on your desktop.

not clear? if you want an example Pic, email me to find
the Virtual Store....

Better off to use Kaspersky Rescue 10 (A FREE..pre windows boot, file browsing tool) download and burn the iso to a cd, turn off your internet put or leave the cd in your optical drive and reboot, ignore the request for anti-virus update, open the file manager, find the .mis file(s) and save to a location you can get to in windows. Nothing can hide or ignore commands from this program.
Back-up your entire BHD folder and archive the back-up, noting the the original install location just in case "do not uninstall it!".
Then reinstall BHD using the installer default settings and you know what to do from there :)

nah, ....

:disappoint:
nah, you don't have to do all that,
your "lost" file is in your "virtual store" folder,
just look for it there...
why make more work for yourself....:read:

Don't say nah with Vista, you may be fine but damage can occur muck mucking about
with virtual entities, besides what you said about the operational aspects of the virtual store are incorrect.
What the ..... would BHD be doing in there?
You just like to waffle...
I got rid of Vista, Had it 4 years, any questions?

Wow mapping in landwarrior already. Very impressive and recent too.
Nothing like the high tech of today is there?

Guest001 07-09-2011 06:01 AM

OK then...
look in the root of your drive (usually C:\), for 2 .mis files called MEDP1BCK.MIS and MEDP2BCK.MIS
they will contain your lastest mission saves, if they are the ones you are after.
If you spend hours searching using CarpeDiem's advice with no results use my previous advice regarding K10 (also useful to have anyway), trust me I happen to know just a bit about it:)

Remove read only and hidden attributes, look I recon you have copied the game over to this new os. Reinstall to the same folder
