Is anybody using/know of any reliable hosting companies?

my squad is using hostingalerts.com - been great.

cheapest plan @ $4.99 gives you 500Mb disk space and 10gb/month transfer.

owner is pretty much always on xfire, thus easy to get tech support.

http://www.dreamhost.com have some great deals from time to time.
Right now they are giving you unlimited BW + Unlimited space + Domain for $9.24!

I have a quite similar plan as they are giving now, and I am very happy with them, great control panel, even better than "Cpanel". And it seems like they are constantly adding new features.
I had to request a support ticket once when I was setting up some domains and received an error. It was sorted out within a day.

Agree, probably the best if not the best IMO.

So I have heard also.

beware of the unlimited deals - there is no way companies can truly honor that - test it, see how much you can upload before they start complaining.

GoDaddy has pretty good prices.. Cant say much about their support because i've never had to use it..

www.jaguarpc.com great support, usually get help within 15 minutes of a submited support ticket 24/7 and very good deals :)
