my mother Windows 2000pro SP4 froze up today around 1pm (13:00hr)

the mouse stop working totally
i had to press the restart button to get it to reboot and then it would not load up to log-in screen at all.

i try everything i can think of, the last thing i open the tower and remove the battier from the MOB (unplug from the outlet) and start it up after 20min

then turn it off again and place the battier back into the MOB

baam it was back to normal.....

still no ID what happen when she was using it other then she try to go to pch.com site to enter in a contest she like to enter there all the time
