Anyone tried out the new phpbb3?
 

Anyone tried out the new phpbb3? It's awesome. At first I was going to pay for IPBB or vB, but PHPBB3 is surprisingly nice. So anyways, I'm just curious how many others have tired it and what they thought about it.

Is there a sample I can go see? Tried Googling for one...

I have been testing it for a bit.. But the beta was a bitch to setup all the right user permissions and groups... Way to many options coming at ya...

I'll retry the thing when i have some time over tho...

its completely differnet from 2, i like it but theres a bit of a learning curve

got a link to a site using it?

currently finding IPB and vB very speedy using my new slow connection :)

Give ici's a try, for sure guys :). When I get hosting I'll throw some up for people to try. If I had the money I would go for IPB and vB, but this is really good for a free board. It is a bit much however, I do agree about that.

www.phpbb.com has a full running of it, and with the traffic they get it's amazing it's still at the speed that it's at.

it looks good and i tried the beta and liked it. but how hard is it to skin?

From what I read it's supposed to be easier, but I don't actually normally skin. Luckily, personally, I like the out-of-the-box skin.
