Well he quit playing df2 because of this problem.


He tries to join a server but it says Height Map Error, he has reinstalled the game numerous times but still that error appears.


Anyone got any ideas on how to fix this?

yeah that means hes trying to join a server that is using an expansion pack of some sort.. if hes not and he still gets that tell him to uninstall the game and delete the novalogic folder and try again.. maybe hes modded his pff's, the uninstaller wont delete thoes files if they have been modified and when he reinstalls they probably dont overwrite them either.. so he'll have to delete them manually.

Okay I will talk him about it. Yeah no expansion pack servers that he has gone to. I will see if deleting everything to do with df2 will work.

Has he tried joining a stock map server?

i mostly see that error dealing with a maps.

like scott said delete the game folder total after he unstill the game.

still have him look over his DF2 Cd see if it bad or dirty a file may have got instill badly (damage) if the Cd is broken or dirty.

if he download the game online freebie crap then the file online is damage. if this is so i don't what to know about it anymore.
