New cell phone
 

I decided today that I had enough of my old POS Motorola E815 phone. It's big, ugly and keeps dropping calls. I know it's not the carrier because everyone else gets A+ service and I used to when I had my old LG VX3200 and when the E815 was new.

I got a awesome deal on a Motorola KRZR K1M. I was not impressed with the Motorola RAZR or the PEBL and aparently there were massive recalls with the RAZR. So I got the 'newer' RAZR AKA the KRZR, supposidly does not have the same problems of the RAZR. So far I fu**in love this new phone. It's very tin, very light, and pretty narrow. It weighs about 1/2 of my other phone and is only 1/2 as thick. It is also not as wide. Sound quality is awesome and the speaker phone is loud. And the BIGGEST thing is I can FINALLY put custom crap on it! It's got an expansion slot for a 1GB micro SD card. I put my own ringtones and wallpapers on it, something that I have never been able to do with my other phones. It was just not supported or it required extensive hacking. This one was pretty easy with p2k Commander. Finally!! A phone I have is supported, i'm so freckin happy.

It's also got a nice red GUI, awesome outside color and 1.3MP camera. Has touch sensor mp3 controls on the outside for the mp3 player, bluetooth that actually works with my laptop, it's just an awesome phone. I am so happy with my purchase..

The pics make it look alot wider then it is.. it's only about 1 3/4" wide and 1/2" thich. Little long at 4" but there is no external antenna.

I personally like the Nokia N series aswell as the samsung 'Ultra' alot more

It was $349.99 retail, but I got $100 off for being a good customer since I was 16 and I said I was talking to Cingular wireless (I'm with Verizon now)... and a $50 rebate. Plus I got someone else to signup so I got another $25 credit. Almost the cost of buying it with a new plan :)

Scott you should try out the speaker phone part of it, i love it a lot.

side button sweet. can't turn it off when your connected to the other party say you and them start talking dirty and don't wish the world to know what you saying, have to disconnect then turn it off then call them back. other wise it great.

Alot of people in my school had the razr also.. They all had problems and ended up getting rid of them.. No problems with this phone yet, it's been out for a few months now and I haven't seen a trend in bad reviews. I'm very happy with it so far other then the ring volume isn't as loud as my old phone and the charger has an annoying cover on it..


Yes chief I know about the speaker phone ;). It's one of the most used features of my phones, they have to have a loud speaker phone..

You know how to get custom ringtones and wallpapers on your krzr chief? I got the scoop if ya need it ;)

buy the phone tool software you get both cables bluetooth and the normal USB cable for it

with it you can change the wallpaper and take (add or remove) images/music/ringtone put them into your desktop or the cell, besides backup all contacts listing and more.

i use the phonetool with the usb cable no charge or money change hands.

by the way you can make custem rington with the phonetool.

I have a v235 and it works for me. It had a camera, speaker phone, vid camera...excellent battery and it works for me. I wasn't sure if I would like it but after I broke my other one (after bashing a guy in the face with it) I figured I would give it a try. With regards to the Razr or Kazr or whatever lol I just dont like how long they are when they are open...it just seems really long.

and it has not had...thats pastense.
