I was opening my internet explorer to find my main homepage had said the following

They have fixed it some now.It doesent look like that anymore.Im guessing it was some guy that wanted to play the Beta for BF2142 and either they got a key at the last moment or didnt get one and are pissed about it.

Thats the only reason i could suspect why someone wanted to them unless some guy felt threatened by one of there threads.

it's purely political/religious, like 99% of website defacing, the only thing it has to do with the site it is on is that it is popular so as many ppl see it as possible. it's nothing to do with being cool , wanting to play BETA or being a L337 H4X0R 1!!ONE

I thought of religious being part of it but the hacker had to have a reason to do so!Many were mad because of not getting a cd key so in my opinion i dont think they just hacked them over there religious beliefs.Gamespy,EA Games, and all them are big too why not go against them then?

google and yarhoo are even bigger but you cannot just logon to their server and do whatever you like. there does have to be some vulnerabilities to abuse.

however i expect they have been attacked many many times. it's to do with timing also, you were probably there just after it happened. unless you are on every site 100% of the time you don't know what sites have been defaced.

believe me on this, its 100% about what he typed about, and not over a cd key.

would'nt google of been a better way to go, I'm not agreeing or supporting them, I love BFP, but there are more popular sites, and its a shame they got hacked :(
