flips sake, how long is it going 2 take our government 2 supply our forces with decent equipment? was a report on when some TA troops went to the US to train with the marines, one of the higher up british forces quoted..

"the armerican's are lucky, all they have to do is call in air support and they have it asap, back home it has to go through a chain of command"

also wots up with not supplying decent trainsport? come on we r using landrovers, theres no armor on them, u might aswell have a normal civ. car, a bullet will go in 1 side and out the other no prob..

makes me wonder :-\

yeah they should, get this... only troops who r going to be at the gun hatches on the land rovers get extra armor, now think about it... most patrols are attacked by IED's now, so that armor is going to do nothing

yeah, nasty stuff :(, but if an IED hits a UK jeep its gone completely, and if theres anyone alive after it, they are very lucky

think now days all in US or UK government seem they are waiting to see what brib will they get to ok a government contrack. some time i think they say they care but in real life they don't care it about money

Like that of Nordic Battlegroup, (Sweden, Finland, Norway and Estonia)

Sweden opted for tanks (STRV 122B) IFV (CV9040) and probebly some SISUs and other nice stuff, but EU didnt agree and put it all on a buget! It will more likley be some Volvo V70 in green color then anything remotly armored if EU get to rule. (I love V70 by the way, but not for military purpose ;))

Good thing the crew compartment in that humvee was cept intact, which is the importent thing, but as you said, its a uparmored version. Its a shame that its not the only model used, would probebly same alot of lives!

Wasn't that long ago a landrover (just guessing on the model) was blown to bits in Afghanistan by an IED. A humvee or Galten would most likley have saved the crew.
